The Youth Committee of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO supports the action of Gambero Rosso in favor of cultural integration through food and wine.

A well-known editorial and educational reality, Gambero Rosso has been a leader in the promotion of Italian food and wine products in the world for 30 years, an activity that has been very successful also internationally, both through training initiatives and by organizing exclusive tasting and dissemination events aimed at communicate the rich Italian food and wine culture and its protagonists.

In this sense, the Youth Committee supports the commitment of Gambero Rosso and its activity: among these, the Project of cultural integration through food and wine: when Chinese excellence meets Italian wine. The project was developed in collaboration with the Vocational Training Center and the Chinese Culinary Institute. The presentation event “Beyond the boundaries of taste: food and wine matching China Italy” was held in Rome on 23 February 2016 and saw the participation, among the speakers, of the national coordinator of the Committee Mario Valerio Nocenzi.

The aim of the cooperation between Gambero Rosso and the Chinese Culinary Institute is to promote Chinese cuisine in Italy and its combination with Italian wines. The initiative is divided into four City of Taste chosen throughout the country, where the Chinese New Year is celebrated through a series of workshops, cooking classes and dedicated events, with the aim of involving a wide range of participants.
